A Festival in Onagawa 3rd May 2018

Just after breakfast we heard the drums and music of a festival procession approaching. It was raining so we grabbed cameras and an umbrella and rushed from the El Faro Hotel towards the shopping area to catch up with the procession. The portable shrine had been covered with plastic sheets to protect it, however the procession still toured the new shopping street, stopping off to perform short ceremonies at several shops.
