Return to Onagawa part one: a stroll from the station, around the harbour and to the hotel. Japan October 2015.
It was wonderful to return to Onagawa and see the progress two and a half years after my previous visit. The new station is built and operational and avenues of shops are nearly finished leading from the station to the sea. The land has been raised and some new roads put in place .
The view from the station observation deck
The new station is a work of art
A stroll along the sea front
Return to the wonderful seafood restaurant for lunch
Views from the hospital hill
A memorial garden located on the hill by the hospital
A walk from behind the station, over the hill to the next valley to the hotel
