Zuiho-ji Temple, Sendai 29th April 2019

After walking across Sendai city in the sunshine we crossed the Hirose River and headed uphill towards the Zuihoden ( the mausoleum complex of Date Masamune ). The hillside is shaded in large old pine trees making for a relaxing walk. About halfway up towards the complex proper we passed a temple gate and wandered in to take a look. this was the Zuiho-ji Temple which had a wonderful little garden with camellias in flower and some splendid greenery.
