Onagawa; around the harbour and a little shrine on higher ground 2nd/3rd May 2018

The El Faro Hotel made from high quality mobile homes has been moved from higher up an empty valley to near the new station making it much more convenient for the new shopping and restaurant area. The station was adorned with carp streamers and a local shrine located on higher ground was decorated with flags and lanterns, it was Golden Week but also a local festival was happening as seen in my previous post . Here are a few photos from a stroll around the harbour and shopping areas, rebuilding continues all over the area.
